Newton’s Laws of Dynamics - Introduction

They are also called Newton’s Laws of Motion or Newton’s Principles of Dynamics and there are many different ways of stating them. The important thing is to understand these Newton’s laws regardless of the words used to formulate them.

In traditional order they sounds:

Newton’s First Law of Motion (Dynamics)

Every body will remain at rest, or in a uniform state of motion unless acted upon by a force.

Newton’s Second Law of Motion (Dynamics)

When a force acts upon a body, it imparts an acceleration proportional to the force and inversely proportional to the mass of the body and in the direction of the force.

Newton’s Third Law of Motion (Dynamics)

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
