On Saturday, 16th December 1995, Roger sent an emergency message via his satellite beacon, saying "I have an emergency, please get me out." He is safe and well. Borge Ousland (Norway)
On Thursday, 21st December 1995, at 21:30 GMT Borge arrived at the South Pole. From the American Amundsen-Scott Station on the South Pole he sent message via radio line, saying "All is well. I am tired, but in good shape." On Saturday, 30th December 1995: A serious wound forced Borge to abandon his attempt to be the first to cross Antarctica alone. He has been picked up by a plane.
